Volunteering

WDR is always seeking volunteers who love dogs in general, and who have a particular love for the Doberman. WDR welcomes and encourages your interest in volunteering!

Volunteering a little bit of your time helps a needy Doberman in countless ways. WDR needs volunteers to provide a variety of assistance, from publicity efforts via flyers and newsletters, to responding to inquiries via phone or internet, to attending ‘dog events’ either with or without a Doberman, to transporting dogs. We especially need good foster homes! The types of assistance are only limited by your imagination! Together we can and do find ‘forever homes’ for very deserving Dobes…

Please take the time to complete a volunteer application and return it to the address listed on the application. After reviewing and verifying the information you provide, you will be contacted to ascertain your time availability and those activities you may have an interest in pursuing. A visit to your home is typically conducted as well. Please do not be offended by all of the information we solicit. WDR attempts to match your desires with our needs, and those needs of the numerous Dobes already in or coming into our program. The more information you provide, the more likely this will be a positive experience for all!
